The Global Research Programme, Womens and childrens health has launched today. This is a call for research that MRC is working on, in partnership with DFID India and the Department for Biotechnology, Government of India. It is an exciting opportunity for researchers to work in trilateral partnerships with academics from India and Low Income Countries. The scope of the call is research proposals that address major health needs of woman and children in low resource settings, with a focus on issues relating to one or combinations of the following topics:
• Maternal, new born and child health (including women’s and girl’s sexual health)
• Nutrition
• Infectious diseases (e.g. malaria)
